Dino Jetha (Camordino Mustafá Jetha) is a Mozambican artist working in psikhelekedana, a traditional folk art form built from small, brightly painted miniatures carved out of cashew tree softwood. Based in the São Dâmaso neighborhood of Maputo, Dino learned the craft from elder mentors, starting out carving simple toy cars before working his way up to intricate, multi-figure dioramas. His pieces represent daily routines, traditional ceremonies, and harder moments too, including stories of survival from the country's devastating floods. Folk art collectors took notice, and Dino has been a guest at the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, one of the largest folk art markets in the world, since 2009, with his work finding its way into collections far from home.
